Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our eco-friendly products, shipping, returns and more.

Orders & Shipping

How much does shipping cost? +
We offer free standard delivery on all UK orders over £25. For orders under £25, standard UK delivery is £2.99. We dispatch within 1-2 business days and delivery typically takes 3-5 working days via Royal Mail. We currently ship to the UK only — we're working on international shipping and hope to offer it soon!
How long will my order take to arrive? +
Most orders are dispatched within 1-2 business days. Standard UK delivery takes 3-5 working days via Royal Mail 2nd Class. During busy periods (Christmas, Black Friday), it may take a day or two longer. You'll receive a confirmation email when your order ships.

Returns & Refunds

What is your returns policy? +
We offer a 30-day returns policy on all unused products in their original packaging. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, simply email us at hello@jollyturtleltd.com and we'll arrange a return or exchange. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or faulty.
What if my order arrives damaged? +
We're really sorry if anything arrives damaged! Please take a photo of the damaged item and email it to hello@jollyturtleltd.com within 7 days of receiving your order. We'll send a replacement free of charge or offer a full refund — whichever you prefer. No need to return the damaged item.

Products

Are your wheat straws really gluten-free? +
Yes! Our Natural Wheat Straws are made from the stem of the wheat plant, not the grain. The gluten protein is found in the wheat grain (the seed), not in the straw (the stem). Independent testing confirms our straws contain no detectable gluten. However, if you have severe coeliac disease, we recommend consulting your doctor first as they are produced in an environment that handles wheat.
How long do the beeswax wraps and bags last? +
With proper care, our beeswax products last around 9-12 months of regular use. To get the best life from them:
  • Wash in cool water with mild soap (not hot water — it melts the wax!)
  • Air dry on a dish rack
  • Store flat or loosely rolled
  • Avoid raw meat, the dishwasher and the microwave
When they reach the end of their life, you can cut them into strips and add to your compost bin — they'll break down naturally.
Are all your products plastic-free? +
Absolutely! Every single product we sell is 100% plastic-free, and that includes our packaging too. We use recyclable kraft paper, cardboard boxes and compostable tissue paper. Even our shipping labels and tape are paper-based. We're obsessive about it because we believe eco-friendly products shouldn't arrive wrapped in the very thing they're trying to replace.

Sustainability

What makes Jolly Turtle different from other eco shops? +
We're a small, family-run UK business — not a faceless corporation jumping on the green bandwagon. Every product we sell has been personally tested by our team. If we wouldn't use it in our own home, we don't sell it. We donate 1% of profits to ocean conservation charities, and we're constantly looking for new ways to reduce our environmental footprint. We also believe sustainability should be fun and accessible — not preachy or expensive.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing? +
Yes, we do! We work with cafes, restaurants, event planners, hotels and retailers across the UK. If you're interested in stocking our products or ordering in bulk, please drop us an email at hello@jollyturtleltd.com with details about your business and the products you're interested in. We offer competitive trade pricing and can often arrange custom packaging for larger orders.
